It's a challenge
Overhaul and upgrade the vertical lathe with the old NC control to a modern design with CNC control with the shortest possible machine downtime.

Consultation and analysis of needs
Our team performed an analysis of the customer's needs and its production process.
Proposed solution
- Based on the customer's request, we designed a complete modernization of the vertical lathe.
- During implementation, all guideways were grinded and scraped.
- New servomotors were installed for the axis drives, all bearings were replaced. Sliding axle components, such as ball screws or linear roller bearings, were also new.
- The hydraulics and lubrication were completely modernized. Telescopic covers were installed to protect the guideways.
- In order to comply with the safety requirements according to the applicable standards, protective covers of the working area have been installed.
- The machine is equipped with tool changer, chip conveyor and lubricating oil cooling
- Completely new wiring was carried out and the machine was equipped with a new modern control system SINUMERIK 840 Dsl from SIEMENS.
Installation
We took care of installing the machine at the customer's workshop, commissioning, measuring geometrical accuracy and putting it into operation.
We have trained machine operators and maintenance workers.
Outturn
The solution of modernization by exchange method was chosen. The machine was modernized in our hall and, when completed, installed in place of the original equipment, which was in operation until the last moment. The replacement of the machines took place during three weeks interruption of production. Thus, we managed to minimize the downtime in production. We removed the original machine from the customer.
Thanks to our solution, the customer significantly increased the production productivity, the precision of the machined parts, reduced the preparation time of the machine for repeated production and ensured the safe operation of the machine for its employees.
The customer expressed maximum satisfaction with our professional approach and the quality of the delivered solution.
